He later earned his B.A. in Exercise and Sports Science as a Fitness Professional from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Chris has had experience working in pool management, road construction, commercial and residential roofing, group exercise instruction, personal training, and in customer service and sales management.
Although Dr. Chris recognized his clear passions for both working with his hands and helping others live healthier lifestyles, he found himself hungering for more. He attended National University of Health Sciences in Saint Petersburg, Florida where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and achieved an award for contributions of service to the Pinellas County community.
Dr. Chris has additional certifications in instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) through FAKTR and in kinesiology and strap taping methods through FTMI. He also cofounded and led various clubs throughout his student career including the Fitness Professionals Club at UNC and the Chiropractic Games and Sports Council clubs at NUHS.
Dr. Chris is married (to Dr. Guerra) and has 2 beautiful daughters. He enjoys trail running, hiking, and generally immersing himself in nature. Dr. Chris also enjoys small home DIY projects and volunteering his time cleaning up state and community parks.
Using chiropractic to bring mobility to fixated joints, Dr. Chris enjoys relieving suffering from his patients and helping guide them towards decisions that will help keep them moving longer. He encourages his patients to remember that the human body is exceptional at meeting and overcoming new stimuli – so feed it good food and introduce it to new movements, new activities, new people, and pursuing things that bring you joy. He also wants to remind his patients that while the human body is amazing, you only get one! So keep yourself conditioned so that your body will be prepped and ready to meet all the new challenges you throw at it!
